Community Information - Law Enforcement Training: On Friday March 31, during Spring Break, our Somonauk & Leland Police officers along with other Law Enforcement Officers from surrounding counties will be training at Somonauk High School. We just want you all to be aware in case you see a number of law enforcement vehicles around the building that day.
We appreciate law enforcement reaching out to train in our building and gain general familiarity of our buildings in the event that there was ever an emergency here in our district.

The 8th Grade Girls Basketball team concluded their season in the Junior Ten tournament with a 34 - 15 loss to the #2 Seed Hinckley-Big Rock Royals. Our team left it all out on the floor but they weren't able to hold off the Royals attack. Kaydence Eade led the Bobcats with eight points, eight rebounds, three steals and three blocks. All of her statistics led the team in those categories. Destiny Salgado chipped in with three points, Brooke Bahrey and Riley Lackey capped off the scoring with a bucket apiece. Bahrey and Avery Charles each had two steals and Salgado pulled down four rebounds. The team as a whole improved immensely as the season went on and will be a solid group for years to come at the high school level.

The 7th grade Girls Basketball Team ended their season on Wednesday evening with a loss to Indian Creek 22-18. The girls played an outstanding game, it was really fun, though disappointed with the result. The best part was the smiles on the faces that this team had in the locker room as they reflected on a successful season together. TEAM matters to these players! We look forward to seeing their continued growth as players through the years. The Bobcats were led in scoring by Ashley McCoy 10, Salena Norris 4, Kira Barnes 2 and Amelia Michels 2. The Bobcats ended with a (6-10) record. Thank you for the opportunity to coach a great group of student-athletes! Coach Benson

The 8th Grade Girls capped off the regular season with a 32 - 27 loss to the Indian Creek Timberwolves. After being down 10-0 from the start the Bobcats came roaring back to take the lead at 19-16, in the 3rd Quarter. Foul trouble and a season high thirty-five turnovers cost the Bobcats a chance of victory on the road. Kaydence Eade and Destiny Salgado led the Bobcats in scoring with eight apiece. The Bobcats defense kept them in the game with twenty-nine steals led by Eade and Avery Charles with eight apiece. Charles and Brooke Bahrey cleared the boards with a team leading eight rebounds each. Ady Werner had three points, while Bahrey, Charles, Riley Lackey, and Junia Johnson each had a bucket. The Bobcats finished the season with a five and eleven record, however they have improved immensely in the past three games.
