This past Thursday, a group of students attended the annual Apprenticeship & Trades Expo held at the Painter's Union District Council 30 in Aurora. Students were able to speak to trades professionals to learn more about the various trades and apprenticeship employment opportunities available.

SPORTS PHYSICALS
BeeWell Healthcare is back to provide sports physicals for Somonauk student-athletes again this spring! If your student-athlete will be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade next fall, he/ she can get his/her sports physical on April 16th from 9:00 am-12:00.

Indian Valley theatre Workshop

A group of our students attended the Automotive Open House at Waubonsee Community College this morning to learn about WCC's automotive programs, speak to WCC staff, and actually tour the automotives, HVAC and CAD labs and facilities.
Somonauk NHS Membership helped out the 2nd grade classes create their first Google Docs. They sat beside them helping type out their documents and sharing them with others. Technology integration at this age will only benefit them moving forward, and the level of work they will be producing from all the Google Suite once in high school should be amazing !
Spring Break March 24-28
Graduation is Sunday May 18th at 1:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium.
Our entire junior class attended the annual College, Career & Wellness Fair at West Aurora High School this morning. Nearly 150 colleges & universities and over 100 wellness and business partners attended! Events like these support our ongoing goal of providing students with opportunities to explore their post-secondary options.
Scholarship packets became available earlier this week and communication went home to parents. Every senior should pick up their packet in the main office if they haven't done so already! Some applications are due soon! All scholarship opportunities and more are available on our Scholarships & Financial Aid webpage by navigating to the high school page and clicking on "Counseling Department".
